JINGL®: AN EXCITING AND LIVELY GAME FOR EVERYONE
Jingl® combines elements of cricket and baseball (batting, pitching, fielding, running) in a fast-paced lawn game that can be played both casually and competitively between at least 4 players. In the same way that trending lawn games Spikeball and Kan Jam have condensed elements of popular sports such as volleyball and frisbee, Jingl® with a proven methodology, has fused elements of two globally beloved sports into a fresh, new lawn game concept. Simply put, Jingl® is everything you love about these sports, without what you don’t.
Suitable for all ages, kids (boys and girls), youth, young adults, and families.
Terrain/Settings: Wide range. Grass, Sand, Street, Clay. Outdoor and indoor.
Growing up during the 70’s in Dominican Republic where baseball reigns supreme, we used to play whenever, wherever, and with whatever we could find.
One of the street games we played was “La Placa” or “La Plaquita” as it was called in more rural areas. La Placa was played with two sticks for bats and two old bent license plates for targets. It was this childhood street game that inspired me to develop Jingl®.
Decades later, living in Upstate NY, I taught my son Kique and his friends to play a version of this game, and it quickly became a huge hit with kids from all different sport backgrounds. Jingl® combines the best parts of baseball and cricket (batting, pitching, fielding, running) in a fast-paced lawn game that can be played both casually and competitively between 4 or more players.
A few years ago we decided to share this game we love with the world by continuing to evolve the game to make it safer, more playable and accessible to current and future enthusiasts.
